Lots of great deals to be had, but you might have to dig a little to find them! The staff is friendly and helpful. I have found brand new, in box items for half or more off the sticker price. Worth the stop and see what there is!
The store has some good stuff for the most part, but I feel like they can still be pretty expensive for a second hand store. I also brought in some brand new clothes that my son never even touched and they said they weren't good quality and only had taken 3 things out. (This has been everytime I've taken clothes in recently) I get that they are most likely just slammed with a bunch of stuff and they don't have anymore room but in that case just tell me that instead of insulting my clothes when they were clearly in very, very good condition. I'm just a little confused I guess cause they should have taken the clothes that were brand new and spotless clean with no stains or anything. I guess just a little heads up to anyone planning on bringing a box or 2 of clothes in, they most likely will only take like 3 items and you won't get much out of it. Overall I've never had a bad experience with the staff they have been nice for the most part.
Although I love the fact that this is a place to get clothes for my child for less expensive, you have to be in the mood to dig through a bunch of stuff. That's not bad having to do that, but the aisles are very very small, there are toys and clothes all over the floor that people are just walking all over, and during our visit there were 2 sets of kids running around screaming. Honestly I put everything back on the racks and left.
I love love love Once Upon a Child here in Tracy. They have new and used kids items, books, clothes, baby gear, etc. all for great prices. This is my second visit here. Ive been taking a lot of my daughters brand new clothes and barely worn clothes and selling them to get her stuff she actually needs. Got a bunch of items great items today. Michelle was so helpful and nice to talk to! Ill definitely be coming back again once my little one grows out of her next set of clothing! And for the people who have reviewed negatively about what they are offered for their items, you dont have to take the offer. Plus, this is a second hand store so if you want close to what you bought for your items, you can sell elsewhere like Offer Up or Facebook Marketplace. Ive been happy with my offers since I am trying to get rid of clothes and baby gear I dont need or she doesnt like.
Really good prices on some things. I've been shopping here for whatever I can. We got a great mattress for my kid but the swing we got for my son has some issues and the gears don't catch. It's in great condition but it always has issues we always have to adjust it to get the gears to catch for it to rock back and forth like it should. Wish they could have inspected the swing more because we spent $60 on it but it's whatever. Only issue here would be the selling. Selling here sucks because it seems like they want only brand new things yet pay you next to nothing for it. But purchasing wise they have good prices on a lot of things and I like taking my daughter shopping
